EcoFix can be added anytime during the pond season. However, for best results EcoFix treatments should begin in the spring when the water warms up and the fish begin to feed. The bacteria in EcoFix will immediately begin working throughout the entire pond. Regular use of EcoFix will result in healthy clear water.
Ecofix is non-staining and non-foaming. Can be used in ponds containing salt and with UV sterilizers. Can be used in fountains. Will not hurt wildlife. Safe with plants.
Highly recommended as a compliment to Algaefixto help break down dead algae.

Algae growth can appear as "green water" blooms, filamentous algae on plants, floating algae mats and algae growth as waterfalls.
Pond owners' number one problem has been algae of various types. Previously all algaecides were non-selective and killed or damaged most plants in the pond along with the algae. Pondcare Algaefix is our number 1 seller by far. It effectively controls many types of green or green water algae, string or hair algae and blanketweed in ponds that contain live plants. Controls existing algae and helps resolve additional algae blooms. Keeps ornamental ponds and water gardens clean & clear.
Pondcare Algaefix can be used in ponds with plants! It is not a bacterial product but an EPA registered herbicide control.
If high levels of algae exist, be prepared to siphon out dead filamentous algae (see Ultivac ). It is also highly recommended that you combine Pondcare Algaefix with EcoFix to quickly break down the accumulated dead algae and debris that results from algae die-off. High quantities of dead algae can be damaging if not removed and broken down quickly to prevent toxic ammonia build-up.

To use: Add 1 teaspoonful of PondCare AlgaeFix for every 50 gallons of pond/ fountain water. Repeat dose every 3 days until algae is controlled.
pH UP slowly raises the pH of pond water (making it more alkaline) without harming delicate pond fish or aquatic plants. Slowly neutralizes acid substances that cause low pH (pH of pond water is affected by mineral leaching, soil runoff & decomposing waste). A low pH can stress pond fish & suppress the activity of the biological filter.
pH DOWN slowly lowers the pH of pond water (making it more acidic) without harming delicate pond fish or aquatic plants. Slowly neutralizes alkaline substances that cause high pH. A high pH limits the ability of aquatic plants to absorb necessary nutrients.
Tereats conditions such as eye cloud, mouth fungus and fin & tail rot. All-natural antibacterial remedy rapidly repairs damaged fins, ulcers and open wounds. Melafix uses the antibacterial power of Melaleuca (Tea Tree) extract for the treatment of bacterial infections. Healing and tissue re-growth can often be seen within four days of treatment.
Dosage: 1 tsp per 50 gallons.
Pond Care Melafix is more concentrated than Aquarium Melafix but can also be used in larger fresh or saltwater aquariums.

Simply Clear can be used in conjunction wiht AlgaeFix, but should be added after AlgaeFix to maintain the pond’s natural balance.
When first using Simply-Clear, the pond may appear slightly cloudy. The excess nutrients in the pond may trigger the bacteria in Simply-Clear to become very active. As the bacteria consume the nutrients the water will clear.
